Mid 1960s; about sport, high school and the start of Womens' Football

My siblings and I caught a bus in Barkley Street (walking from home in Carlisle Street) that took us to Elwood High. The first thing I did was to take off my hat and sit on it. I didn't like hats!

I remember school as being very structured-students listened to teachers and didn't argue - it seemed natural then. I also enjoyed the freedom to go out of the school grounds to buy lunch at the local shops! Students were of various nationalities. Being of Chinese descent; albeit, Aussie born, I alw...

About smoking, being locked in, bus travel and other things past at Elwood College 2003-2008

I went to Elwood from 2003-2008 and have a lot of great\/funny stories.
 
1. ) I remember smoking at the back of the oval with a whole bunch of kids….someone was the lookout who warned us when a teacher on yard duty would walk past.
 2. ) Smoking at the canal and catching a teacher smoking there too who said "I won't say anything if you don't".
 3.) We once had a class on the top floor with the home economics teacher (I cannot for the life of me remember her name). Anyway this particula...
