I made some lifelong friends at EHS and still keep in touch with four of them: Kay, Michael, Brigitta and Kathleen. Hockey was the game for me – I even captained the school team once when the ‘real’ captain was away. Art was my favourite subject and I still like to draw and paint. All my children like to draw and one of my sons turned out to be a pretty good artist. They in turn are helping their kids! Recently we were camping in the Grampians and I was able to speak a little German with some overseas travellers, thanks to the lessons at EHS. My core subjects were Chemistry and Physics so I went into Aeronautical research, where I made friends I still see today. I was there for 8 years and left when I was pregnant with my first child (who is now 38 years old!) At school I had two special friends and we were called ‘The Three Musketeers’. Unfortunately, one of them, Janice was killed in a car accident when we were in our early 20’s. I grieved for the next 8 years and still haven’t really found someone to take her place, although the other ‘Musketeer’ is doing a pretty good job!  I now live in the country, near the beach and the kids and grandkids love to come and visit. I had nine at the last count!

Love the idea of a blog for EHS memories!
